22 BOKO HARAM MEMBERS DISCOVERED BY NEMA IN IDP CAMP..
As part of the continued offensive operations against the Boko Haram terrorists, troops of 7 Brigade have today entered and cleared Gudumbali town, Kukawa local government area of Borno state.
“During the operation, quite a number of the terrorists were killed, while their weapons and equipment were destroyed. The troops are currently doing clearance operations in the general area.
“It should be recalled that the Nigerian Air Force has inflicted heavy damage on the terrorists’ camps within the general area last Monday,” the statement read.
The army spokesman noted that troops were in high spirit and even more determined to destroy the terrorists camps and enclaves.
Earlier this week, Colonel Usman announced that the Nigerian army arrested two key members of Boko Haram in Geidam, Yobe state, during a military operation in the region. The army spokesman also revealed that the Nigerian air force was conducting surveillance following reports that the dreaded terrorist group is planning an attack in Damasak area of the state.
Meanwhile, Muhammadu Buhari expressed his assurance that the end of Boko Haram is near. During an audience with Chadian top officials, the president said that Nigeria and Chad must unite their efforts and more sacrifice to crush the vicious sect.
