NCC Explains Why It Stopped Paying Some Salaries

The head of Nigerian Copyright Commission, Afam Ezekude, has explained why some of his workers won’t get their salaries.
The Director-General of Nigerian Copyright Commission, Afam Ezekude, denied the claim that the agency owes money to its workers.

He has told that only a few portion of salaries have been unpaid for a certain reason.

Afam Ezekude refuted a statements by the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria that the commission allegedly stopped paying its staff salaries.
He said that all the staff of the commission is paid “except few staff that have absented themselves from work for three consecutive months without any form of permission.”

Meanwhile, following a directive by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) to operators of the Global System for Mobile communication to deactivate all unregistered subscriber identity modules (SIMs), subscribers of MTN have stormed offices of the network in a last minute rush to register their mobile lines.
