Nigerians React To Diplomatic Passports Withdrawal By PMB

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered former office holders to immediately submit their official and diplomatic passports issued during their tenure.

Those affected by the directive are ex governors, ministers, senators, House of Representatives members and Houses of Assembly representatives, among others.

It was stated by the acting authorities:

“The attention of the federal government has been drawn to the fact that some Nigerians who are not entitled to hold diplomatic and official passports are in possession of these documents.”

The decision of documents withdrawal was warmly welcomed by Nigerians, in general. Many were surprised to know that local government chairmen even had those passports wondering why the would need ones. People took to social media to commend the presidency for making a move towards tackling the unauthorized possession
Nigerians are actively watching every step of the incumbent administration, especially after the expiration of Muhammadu Buhari’s first 100 days in office. Country residents share different points of view on Buhari’s start at the position of the president.

Even the public assets declaration by President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo generated mixed reactions, with some doubting the authenticity of the document and calling for the investigation into the provided figures.
