Nigerians Still Believe In Change - Survey

The new survey conducted by TNS, a global survey firm, has revealed how many Nigerians still believe in change.

According to the review 86% of Nigerians are confident in President Muhammadu Buhari’s ability to fix Nigeria and grow the economy.

The report was organized in the third week of August 2015 among typical adult population in the 6 geopolitical zones.
It further showed 55% of the residents agree the country was directed in the right way while 74% think that Buhari is working.

Also of those answered expressed trust on the Nigerian leader and his government’s ability to win the war against the deadly Boko Haram

The poll sought respondents’ view on four major areas which comprise opinion about the country and personal financial situation, assessment of President Buhari’s performance and major state institutions, economic, fuel and power issues and finally insurgency.

The survey which interrogated 1001 Nigerians displayed Buhari had general impressive score among Nigerians who rated his performance high and think he is going in the right path.
According to the survey, 91% of Nigerians support Buhari’s anti-corruption war while 86% are optimistic about how they will fare financially in the last12 months.

On the pace of Buhari’s government, 45% say the president is slow but steady, whereas 31% disagreed that he is slow on the same time 19% agreed that Buhari is slow.

The review also specified that 59% of Nigerians supported the cabinet formation date fixed for September, 19% agreed that the date is far but necessary while 15% thought the date should have been earlier.

Additionally, latest governance poll results published by NOIPolls for the month of July 2015 disclosed that 69% of adult Nigerians surveyed approved of President Buhari’s performance.

This rating shows a 1 point decline from June’s rating where he started off at 70%.

President Buhari has recently marked his first 100 days in office and was severely criticized for not appointing ministers and poor performance.
