h Africa basedTelecommunications company, MTN Group, formerly M-Cell which has grown to be a dominant force inNigeria has just announced thatmore than five million Nigeriansubscribers have stopped usingtheir MTN lines.The company recently publicly declared a very low increaseinsubscriber growth and they blamed this on stiffer competition unlike before and the tougher regulationsnow in place in the Nigerian market.The company announced that in thelast three to four months, theyhave witnessed a 0.95 increase in users below the 25 they witnessed same time last year.The Telecomms giant’s ChiefExecutiveSifiso Dabengwa, addedthat their subscriber base in Nigeria has fallen as a result ofover five million users been disconnected because of their failure to register their sim cards.“Aggressive price competition, weakening macroeconomicconditions in most of our markets and unfavourable exchange ratemovements continued to impact financial performance forthe quarter,” he said.sTay tunned

Tenant Kills 85-Yr-Old Landlady After Disagreement Over N9k

A tenant simply identified as Abdullahi, has been arrested by the police in Ogun state for allegedly killing his 85-year-old landlady, Mrs Raliat Olasupo.
